Fencing, the sport of swordsmanship, has been practiced for many centuries. The sport of fencing develops quick thinking, poise, agility and speed, but most importantly, it’s safe and fun. Fencing is a lifetime sport and is often described as ‘chess with muscle’ as the sport requires both physical and mental skills in which the mind must act quickly to meet unforeseen challenges, strategizing to a variety of attacks and defenses. We offer three levels of training for fencing: Level I (Beginner),Level II and Level III (Elite).

MISC

Bus service to Academy of Fencing’s facilities at Turf City is included in the registration fee. The bus leaves SAS promptly at 3:30pm from the HS steps. An aide meets Intermediate School kids in the Intermediate School Cafeteria at 3:00pm and takes them to the HS steps. Middle and High School kids must meet at the HS steps by 3:20pm.

Please note that the aide will only ride the bus to the class for the first two weeks. Parents pick their kids up after the class at Turf City. There is no bus back to the school for this program.
