Kickball is a game that is played with similar rules as softball or baseball. The main difference is that kickball involves a big rubber ball. Instead of pitching the ball to a player, the pitcher must roll it to them (the concept of strikes and balls remains, though the likelihood of someone being unable to kick the ball isn’t too great.) If the ball is caught in the air after being kicked, that player is automatically out. But if the ball bounces along without being caught, then the player can run to first base (or even further, if possible). Like baseball, the object is to clear all the bases and make it to home plate. Defensively you want to prevent players from making their way from base to base. You can grab the ball and tap them with it before the runner gets to the base or throw the ball to the person playing the base and beat the runner for the out. The ball must be in the hands of the defensive player and he/she must be touching the base before the runner can be called out
