Cate Hey, M.A. (Hons); P.G. Dip. Clin. Psych.

Clinical Psychologist
Cate holds a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and postgraduate certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute, Pennsylvania, USA. She has over twelve years clinical experience working with children, adolescents, couples and families in community mental health, schools and hospital settings. Cate has both taught psychology and written courses in a range of psychological issues at University level.
Cate has clinical experience in a range of adult issues including treatment of depression, anxiety, anger, relationship conflicts, divorce and separation, adjustment and stress. Her work experience with children and adolescents has meant she also specializes in youth issues including Attention Deficit Disorder, adolescent depression and anxiety, self harm, eating issues and youth alcohol and drug misuse. Cate utilizes cognitive-behavioral and family therapy approaches.
Cate is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a certified member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, USA; the New Zealand Psychological Society, and the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. She has provided psychological services in a wide range of settings both living and working in New Zealand, Taiwan and Singapore. Cate has a good understanding of the challenges of expatriate life through her experiences of consulting to international schools and government agencies while living overseas.

Marisa Vidaurre, M.A. (Counseling)
Counselor
Marisa holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from George Washington University, USA. She has twenty-eight years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults. She worked at Woodburn Mental Health Center in Virgina for twelve years where she was a mental health therapist and Team Leader for the multicultural team. She has also worked in Indonesia and for the past eight years in Hong Kong as Senior Counselor and Director at St. John's Cathedral Counseling Services. She has extensive experience training and providing clinical supervisions to psychotherapists in the community in both individual and group settings. She is a certified STEP Trainer with a speciality in families with combined cultural backgrounds. She has also been trained in Critical Incident Debriefing.
Marisa has clinical experience working with adults presenting issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, marital conflict, parent/child conflict, aging parents, crisis intervention, grief and loss. She has provided psychotherapy to individuals dealing with adolescent adjustment, cross-cultural adaptation and the challenges of parenting in expatriate settings. She has done critical incident debriefings with people who have experienced or been touched by violent or unexpected events such as natural disasters, bombings, emergency evacuation, murder, suicide or assault. She is trained to provide counseling to adults dealing with issues resulting from childhood physical and/or sexual abuse focusing on understanding and moving on. She also has experience working with couples dealing with issues such as communication, unmet expectation, infidelity, cultural adaptation, and child rearing.
Marisa has extensive experience working in the expatriate community, in multi-cultural settings and with a wide range of nationalities. She has a good understanding of the challenges of expatriate parenting and living from both a personal and professional experience. As a therapist she focuses on support and working with her clients so they can better understand their issues as the first step to coping successfully with them.

Richard Logan, M. Soc. Sc. (Counseling)
Counselor
Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Queensland, and went on to complete his Diploma of Teaching in Primary and Special Education with the Brisbane College of Advanced Education. He then pursued his Masters of Social Science (Counseling) through the University of South Australia. Richard is also a Certified Practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). Richard has completed the Community Crisis Team Training with the national Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA), which is a recognized crisis responding agency in the United States.
Richard has clinical experience working with children, teenagers and their families, both separately and together. Behavior management, parenting, family development, self-esteem, communication skills, time management, and guilt are some areas of his expertise. Richard has lived and worked in Singapore for more than eleven years, and has encountered the challenges of being an expatriate and the effects that this life style has on ‘third culture kids’ and their families. Issues relating to change and transition, grief and loss, stress management, depression, anxiety, lack of cultural identity, and difficulties with commitment are a focus here. Richard has experience in working with the issues encountered by families containing a child with special needs, be they educational, psychological or health related. He also has experience working with those facing issues around sexual orientation.
Richard works with a solution oriented approach informed by techniques/interventions from other schools of thought (i.e. cognitive, behavioural, psychodynamic, and transpersonal. Richard works weekdays and after school/office hours, and he also works on Saturdays.

Suzanne Anderson , M.S.W.
Counselor
Suzanne holds a Masters Degree in Social Sciences (Social Work) from the National University of Singapore and is registered with the Singapore Association of Social Workers. She is a Certified Crisis Responder and Trainer with the National Organization for Victim Assistance in the United States. In addition, she has been a lecturer/tutor for Monash and Edith Cowan Universities’ off-shore social work & social science courses. Suzanne is an American who has resided in Singapore for eight years and has provided crisis response, cross-cultural, social work and parenting training in Singapore and the region.
Suzanne’s experience includes working with issues related to grief and loss, adjusting to change and transition, facing life threatening illnesses, new life roles, and trauma related to accident, natural disaster, rape, sexual assault, family violence from a strengths and resilience perspective. Additionally, her experience has included working with adolescents and youth and their parents on issues related to behavior, communication and parenting concerns.

Lissy Ann A. Puno, M.A. (Counseling Psychology)
Counselor
Lissy holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A. She was appointed a Clinical fellow in Psychology at Harvard University, and trained at McLean Hospital in the children and adolescent program.
In counseling adults, she has done individual adult, couple pre-marital and marital counseling. Other special interests include parenting issues, marital enhancement (including cross-cultural relationships and mid-life crisis). In counseling younger children her work has focused on issues involving parenting and child-rearing challenges. Some areas that her work focuses on are in enhancing parent-child relationships, handling fear & anxiety, school adjustment issues (including peer pressure and bullying), managing the teenage years including self-esteem and identity issues, depression, relationships, communication & assertiveness, sexuality and eating disorders, among others. Her extensive experience in child, adolescent and family counseling experience for the past 18 years in the United States, Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia covers diverse cultural groups in the expatriate setting. Her special interests are child/adolescent issues, parenting, marital enhancement including cross-cultural relationships and midlife transitions.
For eight years, Lissy taught courses in psychology at the undergraduate and graduate level. She continues to conduct lectures and workshops for parents, teachers and students as well as other groups in various settings.

Careers Counselor
Dean holds a Masters Degree in Counseling, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology and a Bachelor of Education and is a full member of the SPS and AACC. Dean has worked across the educational, private and corporate sector and specializes in both careers counseling and career management services in the area of assessment and development. He has a passion for motivating people by profiling their strengths and unique abilities and determining suitable career pathways for them to fully access and utilize their potential.

Arlene Schollaert, M.S.W.

Arlene holds a Mater of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, specializing in Aging and Health. She has numerous years of experience offer ering counseling, case management and education to older adults and caregivers. She has provided services to clients in community family service agencies, acute hospitals as well as nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
